I have arrived
I changed jobs for hopefully The Last Time in January. I am now working from home processing FSA claims. Dull as the work sounds, I cant imagine a more perfect arrangement. The job is essentially data entry. I turn on pandora, log in, and process claims or adjudicate (audit) claims. The beauty is in the flexibility. I should work approx 25 hours per week. Any time! All hours of the night or day. Honestly, the best time for me to work is while the kids are at school so I have yet to resort to evening or early morning hours but it is a comfort to know that I could if I needed to. I am still trying to find balance in life. I can't seem to make time to clean, cook, go to the gym, grocery shop, read, ect... I have to choose the task that is exploding at the moment. I think pinterest has eaten up all those in between moments. I'm going to have to go on a pinterest diet. The biggest and most important change is that I am now available for my kids. I am free to run that forgotten backpack/lunch/binder/costume to the school anytime the phone rings. Which happens WAY too often. I am home at the crossroads (before and after school). I can attend the play, class party, math competition, science fair. 'Tis the season. I am very thankful, lucky, grateful for the job that allows all this flexibility. I feel like a much better mom. I guess we make time for what is most important to us.
