Fearless and courageous. John Jr. loves to try stunts and show off his skills. I haven't taken him to the skate park because I know he is the kind of kid who would turn hard core trixter and frankly we do not need the medical bills! Although, the kid CAN take a hit without flinching.
He discovered the "real" roller coasters this year and has the potential to become an adrenaline junkie. Wonder how I can channel that talent in an appropriate direction?
He's more athletic than the rest of us. And he's very willing to try new things.
Three birthday parties, two family parties and one day at Hollywood Connection with friends. His primary LOOT was his new motorcycle-styled bike. He chose it himself and would not be dissuaded. I will also NOT be voluntarily introducing him to dirt-bikers. Mean mom.
He really doesn't like school! He'd rather be at home. He called me from school to come pick him up right around lunch time EVERY DAY this last school year. The maladies were hilarious! He scraped his kneee, got a cut on his finger, just didn't feel good, forgot his lunch (alot) but most of the times his "stomach hurt". I actually think the kid can cry/vomit on demand. And guess what, I picked him up and brought him home almost every time. That's just the kind of MOM I am. I did not like his teacher (personally). And we learned that if he stays at school till around lunch time, it does not count as an absence. Woo Hoo. To be honest, I really don't like school either.
JUDGEMENTALS: Don't Panic!! It's first grade, he can read like an adult, he "gets" all the math instantly, and he got straight 4's in every subject all year long which is equivalant to an A or in other words, he's academically strong. He just dosen't like to be at school ALL DAY LONG. And I agree.
He likes POKEMON, Pizza, Cookie Dough ice cream.
He spends most of his time playing with Grace, computer games, or riding his bike.
He is the first to wake up every morning, dresses himself, does his chores, takes care of the dog, waits FOREVER for the other kids to get up.
He would NEVER show signs of weakness and is mortified to reveal a mistake.
He is tender hearted and Happy Go Lucky.
If I had to describe him in one word: Brave.
