Snow and white water

We tried to visit the top of the world up butterfield canyon but the road is still closed for the winter?
We tried to take the stroll around Silver Lake at Brighton and were shocked to find layers of snow.
We settled for the pleasant trail head to Lake Blanche only to find the deafening roar of the river impossible to converse. Cant beat throwing rocks in the river any day of the week. It was scary trying to keep the little ones back.
