Less Homework, By Grace Roach (3rd Grade)
Once there was a girl named Brooklyn. She was a very pretty and smart girl. Today she had five pages of homework. She did not like homework. The next day she didn't do well because she had so much homework. We should have less homework because we can spend more time with our family and have more time to play.
First of all we should spend time with our family instead of doing homework. We can play with them, help them, and get to know them. Another reasonable reason is we should have more time to play instead of homework. We need to rest our brains and get our hearts pumping. So we should not do so much homework. When we rest our brains we do much better.
Some people say we should have more homework so we can practice, but we always get enough practice at school already. Now you see how we can spend more time with our family and playing if we have less homework.
