Perfection
We returned last night from our long vacation. I was careful not to publicize our trip beforehand since our house was left vacant for eight days. We decided to send Sirius to a pet resort which he loved so much that he was disappointed to come home (smelling like a rose)with John today.
We couldn't have planned our first (and probably only) trip to Disneyland for a better time of year! We had three day park hopper passes to Disney and California Adventures. Monday and Tuesday both parks were a ghost town (cricket, cricket). We walked on to every ride. Wednesday we had to wait in some lines but they were still short and by then we had already done EVERYTHING at least once. We think the park was empty because their "Christmas Season" officially began on Thursday, but the decorations were already up including the lights. We did not get to see their special Christmas parade which does not make us sad.
We did get to see their fountain/music/lights show called World of Color which was AWEsome. Barak preferred the bigger rides at California Adventures but he enjoyed Disneyland as well. Three days was a perfect amount of time for us, we were pretty much done after two days and it was nice knowing we could go back to all of our favorites and not be concerned about missing out on anything.
Our Favorites:
The Haunted Mansion - Nightmare before Christmas!
Space Mountain
Soaring over California
World of Color
The Aladdin performance
Tower of Terror
California Screamin
Finding Nemo
Peter Pan's Flight
Indiana Jones
Toy Story
The rest of the rides and attractions were good too but those were the best.
Super fun anecdote that I am sure we will not forget soon: The first night after Disneyland we took the shuttle bus back to our hotel but as I (crystal) saw us passing the hotel that was right behind ours I freaked out thinking that the bus had not stopped to let us off at our hotel so we pulled the string and got off the bus. Except, it was another hotel with the same name as the one by ours. We were stranded, at night, in a -strange- city, not knowing where we were and realizing that no bus was coming by to pick us up. Thanks to John's beloved DROID, we figured out where we were but had to walk to the hotel more than a mile away including walking over a freeway overpass which completely freaks me out. We were exhausted, hungry, and cranky.

So jealous that there were no lines when you went. We went last year during the holiday season and it was packed. Also jealous because our cruise broke down and we had to come home early - wish we would've done disneyland as well like your family.
