Spending time at the beach is one of the last things John wanted to do and I was not too keen on packing our beach gear so we decided we'd rather head back instate for the rest of our vacation. We stayed at the Grand Canyon one night. First time the kids have ever been there.
I am not a fan of heights + children. I loved the 150 foot ferris wheel at California Adventures because we were enclosed in a cage. I cant stand the ferris wheel at Lagoon. At the grand canyon there were sparse railings and otherwise you were able to just hike yourself right over the edge. There were warning signs and a book entitled "Death in Grand Canyon" sold at the bookstore. John thinks it is funny how I tightly cling to the kids hands (or clothing)and get freaked out when they are near any kind of edge. Alone, I am not so afraid of heights.
