What would you do?

Its not that we're unimaginative. Really the opposite. I think John and I have been overstimulated in our lifetime. My mom took the kids on Sunday and Monday nights. I went up Tuesday morning to pick them up. So really only ONE day without kids. And what do you think we did? A whole lotta nothing. Sucks that I spent my only free day in 10 years at the library VOLUNTEERING for the kids new school. (Not yelling at you but an aside- I have been volunteering my butt off and recently been treated like crap -an understatement.) Back to my free day. Worked at the library, came home and read a book (more on that!), over mediocre chinese food we had a silly debate about what our lives would be like without children- too foreign a concept to take seriously. Watched some TV, played in the front yard with Sirius. Went to bed. Boring! Really nothing we felt like doing. I didn't want to search for entertainment for the sake of it. I didn't even play Rock Band! Am I sick or something?

michael and i really have a hard time finding things to do when we're at home. and i think that's why we love to travel so much without the kids (even though it's a rareity -sp?). i hate getting a babysitter just to eat food.
