I thought that I would miss NJ summers most since the shore is at the top of my list. But it's fall that reminds me more of the things we grew to love. Foremost of course are the people we met. Very few were outside the church. I miss the unifying force of the gospel that brings together such different people into one cause. By contrast, there is a sense of sameness here, of strength in masses. I miss the uniqueness of each family we met. And the strength that came from differences.
I miss all of DC, New York, Lucy the Elephant, The poconos, Lighthouses, the shoreline, Battlegrounds, The liberty bell, The bridges into Philly, purple leaves, the turtle park, the DC and New York temples, Palmyra, the Hershey factory, Aunt Jen!
I stole an awesome picture from Sarah's blog (I hope you dont mind) That reminds me of the cereal bowl of colors you see on the way to the Pocono's:

and while this post makes me slightly sad, it reminds me to be greatful wherever we land
