Six...5, 4,
Part of the lame lameity lameness of Barak's middle school is the fact that they are FORCING him to go to math summer school for two weeks if he is going to stay in the advanced math track that he has always been on, if he wants to finish calculus before he gets out of high school (and he does) he MUST take this summer geometry class. They want to weed out those kids who really should not be there. They SAY that without this class the kids will not be ready for the new more rigourous math curriculum. I have reason to disagree. This summer math class is THREE hours a day for eleven days. You've got to be kidding me. I think I am at least as upset about this as Barak is. We gave him the choice and he decided that taking the summer math class was his best option. He's a wise kid.
