For our last big hurrah we visited the

Orange County Great Park

It's a new park, parts of it are still under construction. It is being built on a former marine corps air station. Turns out that you should NOT use a GPS system to get there. Takes you to a sketchy abandoned barracks section where we were expecting to be abducted for government experiments. Luckily, there is a large, orange, spherical landmark. If you find yourself in beautiful Irvine, head for the biggest ORANGE.

How cool is that! I've never gone up in a hot air baloon. Lucky kids. I'm jealous! Love, Grandma
