Something's different
He's a teenager. Friday, the 13th birthday. He got his own cell phone, a facebook account, a fantasy football team (officially his own), we took a group of boys ice skating on Saturday to celebrate his birthday. We had a good time. Friday we went to the fall festival at Providence Hall. We spent the day with my mom yesterday. Three days of parties and junk food. We need a detox. Of course, this week is Halloween parties and trick or treating.
Barak has read anything and everything he can get his hands on. Thankfully there are many good series out there for him. Like: artemis fowl, eragon, lightning thief, unfortunate events, leaven thumps, 13th reality, harry potter, fablehaven, Narnia, LOTR, and he's read them multiple times. He often gives me a book to read, reads over my shoulder, and finishes the book again before I do.
He is a leader in his quorum and troop. Ready to start his eagle project. Middle school is more challenging for him. He is learning discipline and making good grades. His math class stretches him. He has a few close friends who are quality people so we're not too worried about his influences. Yet.
