faith, trust

Barak got home from his first weeklong scout camp. Or should I say a week without anyone asking the boys to please think twice. Thankfully, they do have a ton of PHenomenal leaders. I know I am an overly careful person. They had a fantastic time. If I had been there, they would not have had quite as much fun. Everyone came home with injuries. Superficial injuries. Barak had a rope burn on the back of his legs and a small cut on his wrist from whittling. He says the leaders got the worst of it. My friend had to assure me that our ancestors are on duty full time that week. I hope so. It was an awesome camp. Possibly unparallelled. There were 12 boys and 9 leaders who tag teamed the coverage.
They built a rope swing pyramid, played capture the flag every night, did a zip line, Barak got his fire building fix. John joined them from Thursday till Saturday and I felt alot better having him there. He had to be the bad guy a couple of times. He spent his big 4-0 birthday there. Probably not as he always dreamed, but acceptable. They came home to the 24th of July parade and fireworks on Saturday. John says hes probably spent more birthdays on vacation than at home. He's contemplating a midlife crisis. For fun.
