Kitchen Revolt

John went on an overnighter with the scouts last week. Of course, the one night he is away, the kitchen went on strike. (possibly in shock from underusage) I thought it would be okay, since the boys were camping, to break our NO SLEEPOVER rule and let Eva and Grace both have a friend stay over. I accidentally left my wallet in the van which went camping with John and I hadnt been grocery shopping for awhile so it was slim pickins for dinner and snacks. Eva and I tried to make cookies and broke the blender, spilled baking soda, chocolate chips, egg, and vanilla all over the floor. (not at the same time). Then the dishwasher started making a loud noise and I left a hotpad on the stovetop which started on fire. So the dishwasher pump went out and I was washing the dishes by hand when the rice cooker fell into the dishwater still plugged in. It made a sizzling sound while I yanked the cord out of the wall. I ordered everyone out of the kitchen, unplugged all the appliances, have to be thankful we're alive.
P.S. The vacuum lost power the next day, and John's car is still squeaking. When it rains..

Oh my gosh! The kitchen really did revolt on you. Praise the Lord that you survived the night. :)
