And for painful growth through changes that seem to be just beginning rather than ending. Admittedly I’m a bit anxious to END the longest year EVER! I went back and perused our year as posted on the blog and I cannot believe that all those things happened-This Year. I think we are all possibly worse for the wear. And better?
Notable Changes:
In April John survived ATK layoffs by being relocated to Clearfield. That’s right- he’s commuting 2-3 hours every day. Ever since then, he has been looking for a better job. With the economy where it is, opportunities are slim pickings.
In June Crystal began her 6 months of torture via the travel industry. Finally reason returned in November when we came to our senses and Crystal quit her job.
Summer months were packed to the brim with outings- a result of work related guilt. If the kids were mediocre swimmers in June, they became experts by September.
In August we took an Awesome vacation to Oregon with the entire John G Family. We are so grateful for fun times we will always keep with us.
In September our Isaac started kindergarten. He adjusted much faster than Crystal who is working through the awkward empty nest experience.
In October our Barak got the priesthood. I can’t quantify the transformation that has overcome our home surrounding this event.
We are all healthy, happy, and grateful for all of our blessings. We have been acutely aware this year of The Lords hand in our lives. We are grateful for your love and example. Even though we don’t get to see you as much as we’d like, We love you.
Can you guess that I’ve almost given up on the dream of sending the actual, paper Christmas card and letter this year. Only time will tell.
