tastes like chicken
When we were first married, John told me he didn't like tuna casserole. As a result, I've NEver made it. Not ever. This year Ive slowly degraded making meals for the family. Over the summer we were reduced to barbecued hamburgers, hotdogs, or little ceasers. Sad. John has been picking up the slack and taking over dinnertime occasionally. He says theres something about puttting in the work that makes it taste better to him (big surprise,im a terrrible cook). No joke. So guess what he made for dinner last night... From the other room I heard the kids ask, "Dad, whats for dinner." John replied, "remember when you were asking what French food is like, and I told you they use alot of thick sauces, well, this is like french food." (I chuckle to myself). Flash forward to the table, our Gracie -pickiest eater- is making faces and starting to complain that she doesnt like French food, nevermind that she's Never tried it. We go through the routine, "eat it or starve" and eventually she tries a few bites. Near the end of the meal she tells me she likes the chicken part but not the sauce. (No, we do not make tuna casserole with chicken) but, Im not going to clarify and open that can of worms. Married almost 13 years, first time we've eaten tuna casserole. It was pretty good, I wonder if John has changed his mind?
