A wise teacher once taught me the eternal secret to relationships: 1 John 4:19 He FIRST loved us. Pres. Downing taught that if we want to be loved we must FIRST love others. I interchange love and respect. I have alot of patience for most people. I cut people tons of slack. You meet people who possibly dont "deserve" your respect. But, in that case, I remember: a)they kept their first estate, b)they were given the light of Christ c)Our Saviour loves them. D&C 64:11 The atonement gave Our Savior the Right, Comprehension, Compassion, and Responsibility to judge. Not me. Of me it is required to (respect) all men.
I have recently -encountered- a group of new people and -isnt there always one- who dosen't seem to have Internalized this principle (respect). And it REALLY annoys me. Dont worry, they arent familiar enough to be reading my blog- so its not you. Please treat Everyone with respect/common courtesy. Im an imperfect being. Please cut me all kinds of slack. Hows that for a diplomatic rant?
