poor Blub

Mary settled on fish. We prepped the tank all week, got a heater, let the water sit. Friday night she picked out Ant, Tiger, and Blub at Petco. Blub was the plecostamus that dad insisted on. Was. Saturday morning he was a stiff bobbing deceased Blub. Tenderhearted Mary bawled hysterically for an hour. I couldn't comfort her with "sometimes fish just die, or It's fine, or it happens" so I made her call her dad. He is much better at talking through these things. Then we went back to Petco -they have a 14 day policy- but they want you to BRing BAck the deceased. Ew. They did replace him/her with Blub Jr. Free. In fact they refunded purchase price of Blub Sr. And thats how you get a free fish. Be sure to bring in the red faced teary eyed child to help seal the deal. She still prayed for Blub Sr. though he IS in a better place.
