A day in the life

How do you celebrate the big 32. Very well, thank you. I started the day making lunches, signing homework, dressing the girls (since they cant seem to dress themselves anymore) carpooling the offspring, cleaning the house for preschool. And while I was vacuuming the basement, the dog pooed all over the kitchen. I mean ALL over. Guess he didn't know it was my birthday. So I thouroughly cleaned that mess up. Tons of lysol, odor removers, air fresheners, and just in time for preschool. Had a great preschool day, happy smiling children. I cleverly worked in the singing assessment with the happy birthday song and played a very sucessful off-the-cuff game of find the sound with my new voice recorder which fits snugly into the lesson plan of senses. I must be getting better at this. Sent the happy smiling children home and welcomed my friends at the door bearing gifts - a yummy caramel-chocolate apple treat which I so graciously shared with Junior because he was there but would easily have eaten the whole thing myself. Checked my email to find thousands of well wishes from friends. Never had so many people wish me a happy day. Thanks ALL! Ran to the grocery store and killed time not accomplishing much till we had to go pick up the kids from school. Homework, when John got home from physical therapy we went to dinner at IHOP (my choice) I love their stuffed french toast. Then to Ikea where I filled a cart with items and the kids got to choose what to buy me for a present. Great idea by the way Guaranteed to get something good! By the time we got home, it was bedtime, we ate cheesecake -Nicole and Mary made BY THEMSELVES. Tons of phone calls from family. What more could I ask for?
